About Ayr

Ayr is a very historic and beautiful town located south of Glasgow on the west coast of Scotland. It was once nominated for city status but lost out to Stirling in 2002, it was formerly a royal burgh until 1975. It is still a buzzing town with lots to see and do, its proximity to Prestwick Airport has also been helpful in attracting tourists.
